Most clients experience only mild discomfort during treatment. The level of sensation depends on the size and location of the skin tag, as well as the treatment method used. For larger skin tags, local anaesthetic is available to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.

Skin tags are very common, benign skin growths and are not usually a cause for concern. However, if a skin lesion has changed in appearance, colour, size, shape, or has started bleeding, it should be assessed before treatment.

Once a skin tag has been successfully removed, it will not grow back. However, some people are naturally prone to developing skin tags and may develop new ones in other areas over time.

Skin tag removal generally heals very well, and most clients are left with little or no visible scarring. As with any skin procedure, there is a small risk of scarring, particularly if the area becomes infected or aftercare advice is not followed.
